WORK GROUP 5, ENVIRONMENTAL TESTS
Mission
WG 5 acts as a cooperative forum,
which is concerned with matters of electrical and electronic products'
tolerance to environmental stress.
Activities include defining environmental factors and their severity
levels, specifying environmental conditions where the products are exposed to,
as well as testing how the products tolerate the stress caused by environment.
Answers are searched for the questions e.g. what kind of tests are
preferable in the phases of product development process and what sort of
failure mechanisms in products are to expect.
The expertise of WG 5 covers broad part of Finnish expert knowledge
in this field.
Persons and their organizations, active in the working group,
are encouraged to gain control of the subjects in question. This further
facilitates to improve the products' reliability.
