TR15 MECHANICAL DESIGN

Business idea

The scope of work group TR15 Mechanical Design is the Finnish electronics industry.
The aim of the working group is to be a co-operation forum contributing to the mechanics development in the electronics industry. We continuously follow the development in the mechanics branch and utilise the newest knowledge in our work. We distribute new knowledge outside the group in KOTEL seminars.
We concentrate especially to the problems of hardware design, and search for solutions by arranging meetings, establishing subcontract contacts, and organising research projects.
In practice, our work is focused on development methods and CAD tools, as well as new materials. To support design work, we observe actively the development of mechanics-related environmental issues. New manufacturing methods from rapid prototyping to production are included in our scope.
