TR12 Software Engineering
Business idea
The target area of the Software Engineering Work Group (TR12) is the electronics industry in Finland, producing embedded software. The objectives for its activities are:
- to offer guidelines for the selection of methods, techniques & tools used to develop, maintain & manage embedded software,
- to survey & investigate the problems associated with the development, maintenance & management of embedded software & offer solutions to them, and
- to support the initiation of research efforts attempting to improve the quality of the development, maintenance & production of embedded software.
- offering an informal forum & a collegial channel for information exchange and cross-company cooperation,
- creating reports on current software engineering topics,
- arranging training events in the field of software engineering, and
- participating in nordic & international cooperation efforts and maintaining and developing contacts to corresponding nordic & international organisations.
