An RFC822 message is a representation of a mail message.
It is used to store incoming mail and send outgoing mail, and has the ability to include attachments.
To create a new message, select New message
from
the navigation bar. Then you will be presented with
a view that should be somewhat familiar if you've
used Outlook before.
The buttons are:
Takes you to the AddressBook interface.
Takes you to the AddressBook interface
Takes you to the AddressBook interface
Brings up a screen where you can manage what attachments are to be sent along with the message.
This button will save the message as a template.
This button will only appear in messages that are designated to be templates, and whenever it is pressed, a new message with the template data is created.
Other widgets:
This field specifies what newsgroups this message is to be sent to, if any.
This field is the descriptive title of the message and will indicate the topic of the message for the recipient.
This selection will when enabled copy the message to an outgoing folder.
This selection indicates the priority of the message, mostly used on the recipients side to get an indication of the importance of the message.
Shows the filnames and sizes of the attachments.
The buttons are:
This will create a new message which will be used to reply the existing message.
This does the same as the reply button, but includes all the recipients of the existing message.
This will forward the message.
This will move the message into the trash folder. If the message is already in the trash folder, the message will be permanently deleted.
This button will move the message to the indicated folder.
This will give an indication of the importance of the message.
Buttons that may appear:
This button will create a new note of the message.
This button will create a new event of the message.
Make todo
This button will create a new todo of the message.
If there are any attachments to the message, they will
appear at the bottom of the page. If you want to
save these, you may need to right click on the link
to the file an select Save link as..
.
Whether or not the message has been read.
The address from which this message was sent.
The actual message.
The date and time this instance was created.
The priority specified by the sender for this message.
